Welcome to my new webblog site
Tales from Woodhaven Studio is designed to serve several purposes. First, it's a way to keep my friend and patrons abreast of what new work I'm creating. Second, it's an opportunity to let everyone know about the art shows at which I'll be showing and selling my art work. Finally, it gives interested collectors a chance to acquire my work if they aren't able to attend the art shows or places where I sell my work. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have questions at jdb105@verizon.net
ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW POST: Go to the September posts to see an announcement about my newest watercolor technique and application and the soon to come new notecards to be offered.
TRIP TO ITALY WAS GREAT...AND INSPIRATIONAL! Have lots of great photos to work from, so watch for some new Tuscan and Rome paintings coming to my website soon.
Pleased to announce that I have been invited to display and sell some of my artwork at the new Adventure Sports Center at Wisp in McHenry. This is in the new building which is at the parking lot of the white water rafting feature. They will be stocking this venue with lots of sporting equipment, including many winter sports items, and have dedicated a portion of the retail space to feature local artists. The store and gallery are scheduled to open the day after Thanksgiving, so I'll keep you informed of the activities and events coming from that new store and gallery.
Here you can read about my background and affiliations.
My blog is my online journal providing details on my latest work and events plus stories behind art that you may already own. Click the Blog button on the left column and then click on 'Archives' to see posts from the past months. Also, if you want to receive notices of new posts or pages, sign up as a subscriber with your email address. This will alert you to new promotions, events, artwork, classes, etc.
My gallery is a list of my artwork including originals, prints and notecards . The list will refer you to the specific artwork page where you will find a complete description of that piece and the story behind the creation. You can purchase the originals, prints and notecards securely from these pages via Paypal.
